Starting again

Well there is lots that has been happening since I last blogged.

Quick over view

Rebecca & Carl
Nothing seriously new to report there except that they are both looking for new jobs and maintaining a happy welcoming home.

Elizabeth & James
Still hoping to relocate to Shropshire, now in their 7 month of marriage where has the time gone?

Christopher and Gemma
Harry is now ten months old and adorable ( I am slightly biased) we are all  waiting the arrival of his brother or sister in May next year..

Hannah
Hannah is loving her new job and  adjusting to life as young free and single.

Adam
Adam has settled back into Uni and his part time job.

Me
Well I am still struggling with mobility, last week after much argument I  agreed to a second handrail being put in and some grab rails around the house.
Last weekend Hannah, Adam and myself met up in Leeds with Becky and Carl and Rob and Viv.
We had sparklers and other bonfire food.
On the Sunday us girls all worked on the Advent houses I brought for each family. ( except Adam will get his when he finishes Uni)
I decided to give an advent calendar that could be re used every year. I will blog when all finished.

I have decided to rent a table for the Christmas lights , I am busy crafting so that I have lots to sell, cards ,scarves  and then a guess the name of the bear  and how many sweets in a jar.
The last two will cover the cost of the stall .

As the commercials say it is beginning to look a lot like Christmas.

Will try to update daily

Alphabet Thursday -understatement

Ok I think it is fair to say that I have under used my blogg.
Do I have a good reason undoubtedly I could find an unarguable excuse but I won't
Surfice to say I have been unenthusiastic about it.
There have been many changes in the 4 months since I last updated.
My grandson can now crawl he is now 9months old and growing into a cute little boy.
My family has not changed much ,except that Hannah has a new job.
I have also just returned from a week in Normandy with my daughters and husbands and Hannah.
Ok we'll that's me updated hope to keep blogging
I am now off to see the teacher at Alphabet Thursday and see what others have contributed.

A fresh start

I feel like I am making my confession for not blogging , I am not I have just not really wanting to share much and Blogger has changed and I have only just worked out how to use it. I am blaming all the painkillers.

Life here is Shropshire is plodding on slowly with me following behind even more slowly.
I am still using crutches but allowed to cruise around the house without them.

The one advantage of not being able to work is that I have been able to spend more
quality time with my adorable grandson Harry .
Harry is now 5 months old and attempts to play peek boo.
He smiles when he sees me now, and is growing well weighing in at 15lb 7oz.

The other thing that has been amazing is that Elizabeth and James got married on May 19th.
The weather was not brilliant but it did stay dry
It was fantastic to have 14 descendants from my grandparents there.
This was achieved by Chelsea Rachel and Ben flying in from USA , Nikki Mya and Keira coming down from Carlisle, Robert driving from Southampton and the rest of us arriving in Yorkshire.

The next family gathering is on  June 17th when we gather to witness and celebrate the baptism of Harry.

Till the next time bye

Aephabet Thursday ......W

Well another week has passed and I have arrived back at Thursday.
How did that happen so quickly?

W is a wonderful letter so many willing words waiting to whisk they way onto this white space.
Which words will I while away my time using to tell you whats been happening in my life?
Wedding comes to my mind first not a White wedding a black and white themed wedding.
From waist bands on dresses to ties on men there will be bits of black amongst the white cream and  the rainbow of colours that guests will wear.

Weetabix comes next, this wonderful wheat filled food is no longer part of my diet as I have become intolerant to it , the same goes for wholemeal bread and walnut cake whisked with love to settle on my waist.
So I guess it is not all bad afterall.

As I sit here listening to a wonderful christian radio station ( UCB Uk )  I am waiting for the arrival of my daughter in law and Grandson.

Weather next mm don't talk to me abou that we are in the middle of a "drought" has not stopped raining since this was anounced.

Ok well guess that  is  me done for today please visit Jenny to see what else is on offer

V is for Very unfortunate.......... Eden House

V is for Very unfortunate

I thought I would kick of my return to blogging with my favourite blog. Alphabet Thursday.

It is a very unique blog that in essence is created by us the readers.

As the title suggests its all about the alphabet and our interpretation of each letter During my absence from the PC I have missed H,I,J,K,L,M,N,O,P,Q,R,S ,t & U

I am sorry Teacher but I do not have a letter for my absence but honest I was not skiving.

I have spent the last 11 weeks (all except 8 nights) in hospital. I went in on January 17th for back surgery on 18th, I was due out on 24th but due to a series of unfortunate events my stay was prolonged and I finally got released on April 4th. Sorry I missed class on 5th but I was not up to it honest.

I missed lots of things round here though most of all I missed my gorgeous grandson Harry who is now 15 weeks old smiling cooing and doing all the normal stuff especially being cute..

The very unfortunate milestone I missed out on was Hannah’s 21st birthday celebrations although the family were fantastic and included me in as much as possible. I asked a friend to bake me a cake and she got a 21st balloon that was ready and waiting when Hannah arrived at a specially arranged visiting time of 10am.

The surgery very unfortunately left me with umpteen headaches and a very useless right leg , actually that is not entirely true I can walk but I look like a disabled penguin .

This will hopefully start to be sorted on Friday when I start working with the Physioterarist .

Anyway that is all I have to offer for V I am off to see Jenny in class and read other peoples offerings , please feel free to pop into class.

Ok I have a confession I actually wroye this for U last week but missed the dead line so I am very late and have edited very much.

Hanging off a cliff part 2

Last week we tried using the cliffhanger literary device...

...and hopefully you literally left us hanging.

There is no official prompt this week. Just a continuation of last weeks story.

...and because I want to challenge you AGAIN...

What about if we do the conclusion in fifty words.

Yes.

Five zero.

Part 1

I was running as fast as I could the distance between us was getting further and further , I wanted to scream but nothing came out of my mouth . Why was this happening to me ?

Suddenly I saw the cliff in the distance what was I to do I had visions of hanging off a cliff with the coastguard coming to my rescue how would I explain myself to them?

I looked down at myself and saw that I was wearing a zebra costume and tutu indeed how would I explain myself suddenly I stopped I could hear that voice again.

 Part 2
The one I first heard all those weeks ago on January 1st “ you will fail , you always do , you are useless “

I am going to prove them wrong , suddenly I wake up and realise It was a dream I had been running away from my birthday cake , time to get up and start again .

This is partialy true although I do not dream about it. Dieting is easy for slim people. It is easy for people with a strong will and it is  easy if it becomes a way of life. I do not want to be on a permanent diet I want to set my life eating ways as totally healthy.
Ok I am off to see how others have completed their cliff hanger, please pop over here

Hanging off a cliff!

THE PROMPT THIS WEEK IS: Hanging off a cliff! (Might as well be literal while we're attempting to use this literary device!)

WORD COUNT - Not to exceed 100 words plus the 4 words of the prompt. 104 words total.

STYLE OF WRITING - Any so long as you utilize a cliffhanger writing device to wrap your story up. Next week we'll do an additional 100 words for the rest of the story.

 Hanging off a cliff!

I was running as fast as I could the distance between us was getting greater and greater, I wanted to scream but nothing came out of my mouth .

                                                                                             To Be Continued..........

Please come back next week for the final part of this cliff hanger if I survive that is .

Also please pop over to Jenny and see what other people have thought of.
