Red of the Rainbow

Ok we have started summer School . Our wonderful teacher has chosen for us to investigate the colours of the RAINBOW this next seven weeks so here we go.
Oh yes I have set myself the challenge to only include photographs I have taken myself .

Red
mEans
Danger

Ok in fairness Red does not always mean danger .
I hope you like my collection of Red that I have photographed this last few days.

Ok this pink and Red but I made it as a thank you for somebody making me some cupcakes to celebrate Elizabeth and Jame's new home.
The Market Drayton Town Crier
An English Fire Engine
I am sure that you recognise these 2 items. Sadly the phone box is not seen as often now.
Ok on the above are some strawberries from AJ's garden
This sign was very welcome as I descended the Wrekin. They sold ice cold water
A red Bucket in AJ's piggery
this red poppy reminds me of the lives that are sacrificed during wars.

Ok these are Dahlias I think
These are the backs of some RAINBOWS they are the youngest section of Girlguiding in UK

Anyway this is the end of my RED Theme .

I am so lucky to  have my sight to see all these wonderful things.

Thank you God

A little red quiz

These are all words, places or items that contain RED can you work them out?
  1. This is a place that has horse racing not car racing
  2. A city East of Seattle
  3. Sequoia Tree
  4. Canyon
  5. Drink
  6. Charity
Ok that is all folks
I am now popping over to see the teacher Jenny  and hand in my work. Whilst there I will be looking at other peoples contributions.
PS

Roses are Red
Violets are Blue
I feel Happy
when I think of you

I quite often use this poem and adapt the words when I want to say something wonderful to somebody.

I got Redmond, Washington, but I'll have to think for a while about the others.

Great assortment of red. We call them phone booths in the States and I can't even remember when I last saw one. Wait a minute...I saw one in an antique shop not too long ago. They're a thing of the past now.

These are great shots for red Tracy! I love the shot of the phone booth. We still have some pay phones around here, but they are quickly becoming obsolete. Are Girlguiders like our Girl Scouts? As far as the answers, I'll pick the drink. Big Red! Your followers from Texas will know EXACTLY what that is :) Kat

Love your choices of red photos :) I love those red telephone booths. We have them here too, strangely enough but they don't look as great as they do in England :)

I enjoyed this a lot.
As for the question...too dang early for any smart thinking.

Love your red stuff.

As for the quiz, I am bleary-headed from staying up too late, so all I can come up with is Redwood and Red Bull.

=)

Beautiful pictures. The postal box is my favorite. I love how it is just snuggled in the bushes.

I loved the town crier and that phone booth. Ours were never red like yours but I think ours have gone the way of the dinosaur. You hardly ever see public phones anymore. It's really a shame.

I never thought about the English phone booths or even the double decker buses that are often red. Now that I start thinking, I have many other travel red pictures I could have used....I'll have to start working now on next week!

Fell in love with the postal box. I've never seen one before. As for the phone booth, I love that too and have seen a few pop up today. Great photos of all things red. My favorite kind of post!

I see someone else got all the answers so I don't have to post 'em.

I think I'm dense but what is a piggery?

My favorite red picture is that phone booth.
