This is a themed meme each week we are given a prompt mine is in purple. We then have 100 extra words to complete the story.
This weeks offering from me is true. I made a mistake and held my hand up to it and it cost me.
If you would like to read more please got to see Jenny here
Objects in the rear view mirror are closer than they appear...as I found out to to my cost. It was a Monday morning I was on my way to work I had noted the car parked at the bottom of my drive and remember thinking HOW SELFISH . Could they not see that a car would need to get off the drive?
Anyway I got my seat belt on turned on the ignition did my checks and reversed of the drive straight into the car. Oops lost my no claims discount in 3 seconds the rest is history. I did the honorable thing and left a note ,Lesson learnt

I've seen this plenty of times where people park close to the apron of the driveway. One time hippie had to go across the street to get someone to move their car because he was afraid he would hit it. Good true to life Centus.
Been there, done that. The woman who parked her car at the end of the drive said she was trying to keep the kids in the driveway. Were they not bright enough to go AROUND her car? Of course, I wasn't bright enough not to hit her LOL. Cute use of the prompt. Kat
This post is both visual and visceral. Great!
Thanks..........cj
Expensive lesson learned! I think we have all been there!

Also...don't park on a street directly opposite a driveway. I hit a car doing that. I was mortified! Knocked on neighborhood doors until I found the owner. This is just too close to home.
Great job with the prompt! I love how this is true. We've all been there and can relate!
Oh man. Been there. But with a Uhaul... haha.
Tracy, nice take on the prompt...sounds like revenge not too sweet...Peace
Thanks for the chuckle Tracy. A nice reminder: never use a vehicle as a weapon.
CRUNCH! bummer!
Had me thinking about who just learned the lesson...the driver, or the person who parked too close to the driveway?
Yeah, exactly. What June said...
(I had to wonder who got schooled, myself!)
=)
Hi Tracy, you could have written this about me!
Only I'm not sure if I ever learned a lesson. Did it quite a few times.
Cute use of the prompt.
I hope you're finding lots to smile about today.
Thank you for linking.
