Alphabet Thursday E is for ..... Exciting and everything

Over half a million girls and women celebrated the end of Girlguiding UK's Centenary on 20 October 2010 at 8:10pm by sharing a vision for the next 100 years of guiding.

I was part of it .

Wednesday October 20th 2010 saw Guiding around the world renew their promise at 8.10pm

20.10 on 20.10.2010

I was so excited to be part of this amazing worldwide celebration.
I took 6 Rainbows along with a parent young leader and my co leader to Telford Town Park where we joined 3000 members of the guiding movement.
We were entertained for an hour then wenton a torhlit parade to the central area where e all renewed our promise. This was followed by an amazing firework display.

There really is not much more to say on this one. As I had young children with me I decided not to take my camera so sorry no shots this week.

I also want to say that everything and everyone in my life is important to me ad I am very thankful .

Please pop by and see what Jenny has to offer along with the other writers . Thanks for your visit.

Good for you and all the other volunteers. Girls need strong, caring women in their lives.

That's cool! 100 years! I was a Girl Scout. My daughter was a Girl Scout. I now teach tie dye classes to Girl Scouts. Kudos to you for volunteering!

I was a Girl Scout for many years. I still have my badge sash. I keep it in my underwear drawer. Volunteering was most important to our scout troop.

Well done Tracy. My involvement in Guiding was quite short, just being a volunteer for a couple of years before Uni, but I do value all that guiding stands for and offers! People like you are so important in the organisation :)

Good going! I think girls gain so much from being girl scouts, right?

This is soooo cool. I love organizations that help girls learn how to be strong women.
