Saturday Centus week 28 from Edenhouse

It was good to be able to travel to Caan in Northern France. Visiting the Peace memorial on this special weekend was just such a privilage. To stand alongside the young and old who were all there for one purpose, to remember the brave heros that had fallen during the 1st and 2nd world wars.
To see the memorial to soldiers from all over the world gave me a lump in my throat. As we woveour way  through the memorial from the darkness to the light seeing what POW's had to endure and the conditions they suffered made me truly thankful on "The early November sunshine cast golden rays accross the field of white crosses.

A beautiful and lovely tribute. Gave me goose bumps as I remembered my father, who only recently told us of his experience as a POW in Nazi Germany. This is a powerful prose and I thank you for sharing.

What a lovely and compelling use of the prompt. I am teary eyed with the visualization of your last line.

What strong writing you shared this week.

Thank you.
