What a week

The final week of the Easter holiday
It started of with a fantastic Easter lunch followed by scrummy cake made by Liz then a visit to Manchester to see Carolyn.

Wednesday I got up early and drove over to see AJ for breakfast her friend Ann was there from Sussex we had a good catch up over breakfast, fruit and yogurt a wander round the garden and home all in the rain.
I was supposed to visit Jean the previous week but life took over here, if I had of visited there would have been much more colourful pics of the garden this was the best I could do . It is amazing how Jean has transformed the garden in a year.

The rest of the week was bits and pices of catching up with friends school work and tidying oh and dreaded ironing. Saturday morning the holiday culminated with a visit to Carlisle to join Nikki ( Ilse ) as she celebrated her 30th birthday. Robert joined us for lunch and then we set of north. The journey was beautiful weather and scenary. As it was glorious sunshine all the way we had fantastic views of the lakes and Dales.

It had been 3 years since I last went up to see Nikki and obviously the girls had grown up Mya was 5 in April ( 4th) and Kiera will be 4 in May(5th). Two beautiful girls with oodles of personality and so loving a real credit to Nikki.

Robert has really not grown up at all still plays the fool !!!!!

He does fit the part for being a Grandfather tho and "Pops" was very popular with the girls.

Kiera was defiantly not shy

Mya was a bit more reserved.

The cake tasted as good as it looked
Father and Daughter
The weather was so glorious we stopped of at Morecambe on the way and had a Delicious Ice cream and a cream tea ok bit greedy but fitted in what you do at the seaside in a 2 hour stop only thing we did not do was paddle as the sea was so far out.

We all posed alongside the statue of Eric Morecambe of Morecambe and Wise fame.

Well its Monday morning and time to go to school. Have a good week everyone and see you soon
