Answered prayer

Welcome to the first week of Saturday Centus. This is a themed writing meme.Organised by Jenny over at Jenny Matlock. Please pop in and see what you think.
Basically we were given the paragraph in purple and could use a further 100 words to complete the story. No pictures allowed. Hope you enjoy

My untied shoelace changed my life. As I leaned down to re-tie it, I had kicked away a few leaves. When I turned my head slightly to look where the leaves had been. I was astonished to see a rubber-banded wad of hundred dollar bills nestled in a little indention in the muddy ground.

What should I do? The money was not mine ,was it a well timed gift from God or was it somebodies lost fortune? Worse still supposing it was bad money?
I prayed and as I finished asking God's guidance I removed the thick rubber band inside was a phone number I called it and a man's voice was at the other end .Cutting a long story short we met at a local pub and after many hours together we are getting married , God had answered my prayers in a most unexpected way it just proves that God does listen.

LOL, I just emailed you telling you to join in and I see you already did. I loved your take on the story. It had a most surprising ending in a good way ;-)

So glad I'm not going to be the only one to get caught up with this! I wrote mine last night too but didn't want to rush to post it in case I changed my mind! I'll do it now! BTW - I like you ending - hard to manage just 100 words isn't it!

Hooray, Hooray! I shall dance at your wedding, with my shoes! What a fantastic twist!

I love the discipline of 100 words!

And this week Mr. Jenny is going to write the prompts so I can't "cheat" he says!

Well done!
