Edenhouse offering Sat Centus 32

Ok well it is Saturday again and after missing last week due to my son's wedding I am now back into the swing of things just have to attempt Alphabet Thursday and I am caught up.

0k today we are given this to work wih An involuntary gasp of shock escaped my lips when I opened the shoebox and saw the pointy-toed shoes..."

I now have 100 words to make sense of it. Hope you enjoy.

I had decided that after the unfortunate incident with the lights last week it was time for me to crack on with Christmas decorations.

As I sat in the loft surrounded by dust covered boxes, not that there was anything up there from my childhood that had all been lost when I left home .

I came upon a box that looked strangely familiar from years ago An involuntary gasp of shock escaped my lips when I opened the shoebox and saw the pointy-toed shoes..."my shoes from when I played Dorothy in the school play. How on earth had that survived . A whole rush of wonderful memories came back.

This won't get the decorations up .

Well that's it from me, please link with Jenny to see how other followers have used their allocation this week

Ohhh my goodness do I know that story. Walking down memory lane certainly curtails any other job planned. I enjoyed your take on this prompt.

Great take on the prompt. I think we've all found photos or other mementos that sidetrack us!

I thought about doing something about Dorothy too but I couldn't figure it out. You did great with it. Loved your centus.

It's funny how "pointy-toed shoes" takes us all back to Oz! Great job!

I had thought about Dorothy, too, as in many of your comments, but then I had to figure out a way to connect my story with all my others...I think this is your best yet, Tracy. Very, very well done and touching.

Isn't it nice to revisit memories! I think that's what slows down my efforts at purging. ~Ames

Congratulations on your sons wedding! What a happy event for the holiday season.

I liked your unique take on this prompt!

Really a cute read.

Thank you for linking.

What a great take on the prompt. I like that the shoes became a sort of 'Madeleine-biscuit' (to use Marcel Proust's famous image in his enormous novel, À la recherche du temps perdu, In Search of lost Time). And they are happy memories, which the pointy-toed shoes may not automatically inspire.

I enjoyed that fact that your trip down memory-lane meant that you did not get done what you had intended to do. (Sort of like trying to dust the library and end up reading instead!)

Well done!
Best wishes,
Anna
