Saturday centus from Edenhouse

My palms are sweaty I can't do it , all negative thoughts are running through my mind. I checked my fabulous outfit in the mirror a final time., I am ready I can do this . I must focus now the red light ,now Amber and finally green the curtains parted and suddenly I am singing the national Anthem in front of her Majesty the Queen..

The orchestra strikes up I open my mouth to sing the first word and nothing comes out a hushed silence falls around the theatre , Then I wake up it had been a dream

I am participating in Saturday centus week 46 if you would like to read more please pop over to see Jenny

Yikes Tracy! That's not a dream, it's a nightmare! Fun use of the prompt. Although given some of the versions of our National Anthem I've heard lately, I wish that had happened to a few singers. So glad to see you back participating in Saturday Centus! Kat

If I had that dream, I would suddenly discover that I was naked! Great take on the prompt!

Perhaps it was a preliminary to the Royal Wedding! ;)

This is great, Tracy. I was sweating it a long with her. I think we've all had dreams (nightmares) like that. Very clever.

Dreams can be so real, can't they? Did you really dream it or did you make it up? Nice take on the prompt.

Namaste..........cj

I hate those kind of dreams. I always wake up sweaty. Such a waste of good sweat.:) ~Ames

Oh, a quite wonderful take on the prompt..well done !!! ( God Save the Queen, she is wonderful ! )

I agree with Kat's comment too...love the melody and singing it myself in a crowd but oh, some singers have torn it to shreds over here !
