Alphabet Thursday from Edenhouse L

Liverpool Lady

This week I do not have a picture just a few words

On December 8th 2010 a wonderful women died .
She was Eileen Cook my Mother in Law I know there are many jokes about Mother in Laws but mine was great.
When I married her son she said to me that she would not interfere but if ever I needed anything to ask.
She was true to her word.
For reasons I will not go into I will not be going to her Funeral Today Thursday 16th Decenber  at 10 am GMT, but how appropriate that I can leave a tribute here to her.
Mum ( that's what I called her) you were there when I chose my wedding dress, and again when your grandchildren were born you knitted countless items ( one time I asked her to knit in red and blue she was horrified that I would put a newborn baby in bright colours  it was 1986) .
You will be remembered by me for fantastic cakes, sweets for the children, shopping on a saturday when we came to visit, pottering outside your back door in your small but well planted garden and really for just being you .
Thank you
God Bless
Tracy

I also had the most wonderful mother-in-law. She died in August at the age of 95, I think of her every day, and miss her.

What a sweet tribute. I also loved my mother in law. She was the perfect mix of minding her own business and being there when help was needed!

She's been gone a few years now and I still miss her.

Peace and prayers going your way....

xxoo,

RMW

A wonderful tribute Tracey. I'm sorry you couldn't be there to say goodbye, but I'm glad you could share with us.

Sadness too for the Cook kids at losing their Grandma.

(Also, can't help feeling sorry for Ian. It's hard to lose your mum.)

Hugs xx
