Hanging off a cliff part 2

Last week we tried using the cliffhanger literary device...

...and hopefully you literally left us hanging.

There is no official prompt this week. Just a continuation of last weeks story.

...and because I want to challenge you AGAIN...

What about if we do the conclusion in fifty words.

Yes.

Five zero.

Part 1

I was running as fast as I could the distance between us was getting further and further , I wanted to scream but nothing came out of my mouth . Why was this happening to me ?

Suddenly I saw the cliff in the distance what was I to do I had visions of hanging off a cliff with the coastguard coming to my rescue how would I explain myself to them?

I looked down at myself and saw that I was wearing a zebra costume and tutu indeed how would I explain myself suddenly I stopped I could hear that voice again.

 Part 2
The one I first heard all those weeks ago on January 1st “ you will fail , you always do , you are useless “

I am going to prove them wrong , suddenly I wake up and realise It was a dream I had been running away from my birthday cake , time to get up and start again .

This is partialy true although I do not dream about it. Dieting is easy for slim people. It is easy for people with a strong will and it is  easy if it becomes a way of life. I do not want to be on a permanent diet I want to set my life eating ways as totally healthy.
Ok I am off to see how others have completed their cliff hanger, please pop over here

Edenhouse's take on Saturday Centus

Having not taken part is Saturday Centus for a very long time I thought I would take a peak so last week I did just that but as usual I did not read the rules and apparently I was only supposed to use 16 words, ok I exceeded that but a tadge.

This week as usual I have 100 words to entertain you. The topic or starter this week is it doesn't have to be that way,so here goes.

It was Saturday morning we up bright and early, off to choose our Christmas tree.
Time for breakfast and some Christmas music to get us in the mood.
We arrived at the farm and were greeted by the owners like long lost friends a glass of sherry was offered and accepted.
Then to the important business of the day choosing the tree.
Too tall to short to fat to thin. “MM not enough up top” one voice called out.
It doesn't have to be that way I thought what’s wrong with artificial trees?
I would not dare suggest though we have only ever had real.

Hannah ready for her Works Christmas evening infront of THE perfect tree

Well that’s my story this week oh and by the way it is what happened today Hannah and I have had a lovely day getting ready for Christmas .If you go to see Jenny over at her blog you will be entertained by other people’s stories.

16.... edenhouse

Having not taken part is Saturday Centus for a very long time I thought I would take a peak so as usual I have 100 words to entertain you. The topic or starter this week is 16

So here goes.

Sixteen was not a birthday I enjoyed one little bit in fact it was the worst birthday ever.

My Mum was in hospital and I found out she was coming home to die, she had cancer. Back in 1979 I guess treatment was very different.

But guess what Its ok now yes I wish she was here of course I do but if she was here who is to say my journey on the road called life would be very different, and I would not change it now, I am about to become a grandmother due the day before my 49th birthday.

Well that’s my story in brief I am sorry but I have gone over 100 words by two please forgive me.

If you go to see Jenny over at her blog you will be entertained by other people’s stories.

Saturday centus from Eden House

Ok its been a long time since I contributed to this Meme . I had decided that as much as I loved it I was not able to give enough time to read and reply to everyone.
Decided that this week I was going to have another go.

Ok for anyone reading for the firat time pop over to Jenny  and see what others have come up with

"...within the stone..."

I will use attempt to use  100 word count including the prompt in RED this prompt. I can use these three words PLUS up to an additional 100 words to tell my story in any style I choose.

  Here goes ..........

Within the stone there is a new life ready to grow, not a human life but a tree . It is a mystery at the moment will it produce fruit?

I have no idea but I will plant it and nurture it in the hope in years to come I will have my own fruit tree.

A fruit tree that I will be able to say that with God’s help I grew .

I will not spray with chemicals just watch it as it becomes fruitful and reflect on whether I am fruitful or not . A long process that needs patience.

Edenhouse offering Sat Centus 32

Ok well it is Saturday again and after missing last week due to my son's wedding I am now back into the swing of things just have to attempt Alphabet Thursday and I am caught up.

0k today we are given this to work wih An involuntary gasp of shock escaped my lips when I opened the shoebox and saw the pointy-toed shoes..."

I now have 100 words to make sense of it. Hope you enjoy.

I had decided that after the unfortunate incident with the lights last week it was time for me to crack on with Christmas decorations.

As I sat in the loft surrounded by dust covered boxes, not that there was anything up there from my childhood that had all been lost when I left home .

I came upon a box that looked strangely familiar from years ago An involuntary gasp of shock escaped my lips when I opened the shoebox and saw the pointy-toed shoes..."my shoes from when I played Dorothy in the school play. How on earth had that survived . A whole rush of wonderful memories came back.

This won't get the decorations up .

Well that's it from me, please link with Jenny to see how other followers have used their allocation this week

Saturday Centus week 30 --Eden House take on it

Today: 27/11/2010

This weeks prompt writing will be one with a twist. You know those horoscopes in newspapers? One of those will be your new prompt. Pick one randomly from a paper or a website and write a story <100 words about the kind of day that horoscope "predicts".
Ok first of all I hate horroscopes but that is me I will not let that put me off the challenge set out above by our dear Jenny.
I just put into google cpricorn horoscope and picked this one .

You might not be the right person to handle this project, praise or scorn -- so find the right one and drop it in their lap! It might take all day, but that's okay, because it should be a high priority for you.

This was my imaginary day that followed the above reading .
This is based on fiction and any ressemblance to real life is purley coincidental

I have to organise the works Christmas meal . The list of venues had been up for weeks no response so I took it round got opinions and filled in the sheet.
Please link to JJenny here and read other contributions

Went for the most popular made the booking and finally put up the menu choices and thats when it all started , one person did not like the choice so guess what I took all the stuff down put it in a folder marked Christmas meal and dropped it in that persons lap.

I went home made a gin & Tonic and read my stars

You might not be the right person to handle this project, praise or scorn -- so find the right one and drop it in their lap! It might take all day, but that's okay, because it should be a high priority for you.

Enough said .

week 29 Saturday centus edenhouse

Pardon me," said Tom T. Urkee..." is my starter this week . Jenny from Saturday Centus sets us a task this is how I have used mine. This week . Maybe I am dreaming that this will happen at my sons wedding in 2 weeks time.
Please pop over and see her.

I was so excited ,my hair was done, my dress beautifuly pressed by the dressmaker,  shoes and handbug sat patiently in their boxes and  just had time to get my make up done.
I was so eager to be going to the wedding only downside was the dancing as divorced women I was alone I am sure my wonderful Aunt would not want to smootch with me .

Ceremony over and time to hit the dance floor I had spent all day looking at the guests and suddenly  a gentle tap on my shoulder  "Pardon me," said Tom T. Urkee..."May I have this dance?"
I spun  round to see Mr perfect

Saturday Centus week 28 from Edenhouse

It was good to be able to travel to Caan in Northern France. Visiting the Peace memorial on this special weekend was just such a privilage. To stand alongside the young and old who were all there for one purpose, to remember the brave heros that had fallen during the 1st and 2nd world wars.
To see the memorial to soldiers from all over the world gave me a lump in my throat. As we woveour way  through the memorial from the darkness to the light seeing what POW's had to endure and the conditions they suffered made me truly thankful on "The early November sunshine cast golden rays accross the field of white crosses.

Please link to Jenny and see how other readers have used the 100 words plus prompt to create something readable.

Cousin Kathe had been waiting for an opportunity for me to come and stay for an evening to have a drink , how could I tell her that really I didn't drink I mean I was all of 20 and really never had a social life that included going to pubs. I went we had a great time ,the boys went to bed and then out came this clear liquid the first sip burnt my mouth and throat the next one was delicious I remember nothing else when I told my aunt she said This is the scariest story I've ever heard..."

Saturday Centus 24 .................. Edenhouse

This is a themed writing meme and a different challenge this week.
You can use UP to 100 words to tell your story. The prompt does not count for your 100 words AND it must be left intact in the body of your story. No illustrations are permitted. Your story can be fact or fiction, just keep it PG, please! I have to look at my Grandchildren with these eyes.

"Trick or treat!" they shouted as the door opened..." this is this weeks  starter
+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
Where has the time gone I thought as I sat waiting for the first knock on the door. Last year I had made individual packages for the trick or treaters , this year I decided that I would go back to the basket of goodies that way the children could just pick what they liked.

I could hear the children , I was so excited , this really was a fun night in the year .

I do struggle tho with my Christian faith that says it's not right but what harm can it do? I give a tract to them

"Trick or treat!" they shouted as the door opened..."
